The JCA’s wide-ranging educational program, Kesher (connection), offers opportunities for tots to teens and their families to learn, grow, and celebrate in Jewish community.
Our focus on Kesher at the JCA encourages us to challenge and support students in ways that nurture pride in achievement and helps them find their authentic Jewish selves. At the same time, we balance the needs of individual families and students with our traditions, and honor our diversity including what defines our Jewish identities.
We know that if children experience a Jewish education at an early age, especially in community, they are more likely to take on Jewish values and feel a sense of connection.
Due to the uncertainty surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic and when social distancing precautions may be relaxed, we are working on putting together an educational program for next year that will be flexible, and enable us to meet both in person and online, as circumstances change throughout the year.
Our focus will continue to be on small-group, individualized learning, emphasizing community and identity. We will be offering a variety of choices, so that kids of all ages can find ways that work for them to engage in Jewish education. We will continue to provide ways for students to become familiar with, and learn prayer and Hebrew reading in age appropriate ways, engage in art, baking, outdoor education, and more.
Please register your child as soon as possible so that we know how many kids will be participating in our programming, to help us better understand what our needs will be. No deposit is required in order to register your child.
