The camp fee includes all programming, field trips, special guests, daily snacks, swimming, and experienced staff.
A $150 non-refundable deposit is due per camper upon registration. If registration has been completed and deposit has not been received by May 1, we reserve the right to give your spot to someone on the waiting list for that session. Your full camp balance is due by June 1.
It is important to Camp Shemesh and the JCA that children be able to experience camp regardless of family financial need. We work hard to provide assistance to as many families as possible each summer. If your family will be applying for financial assistance for your campers it is important that you complete this scholarship request form immediately by uploading it to your registration form. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact JCA Administrative Director, Ann Wetherbee, at the JCA office or email email@example.com. Although we require a deposit upon registration, if this presents a financial hardship for your family, submit the scholarship request form and discuss your options with Ann as soon as possible.
Registration Change/Cancellation Policy:
We recommend contacting the Education Coordinator to find out if there is space in the session(s) you wish to switch into. All registration changes or cancellations can be made by logging back in to your original registration form and changing your selections.
If you need to change your dates for camp, rather than cancel, we will gladly try to accommodate your child if there is space available.
We understand that you may need to cancel altogether. If the cancellation occurs more than 30 days before the first date of the camp season* you will receive a refund of all money paid except the $150 deposit per camper. If the cancellation occurs 15-30 days before the first date of the camp season, a 50% refund will be issued minus the $150 deposit. We understand that things may come up that would prevent your child from attending camp. If it is necessary to cancel 2 weeks prior to the first date of the camp season, no refund will be returned.
*The first date of the camp season is July 1, 2019
Aftercare at Camp Shemesh is offered from 3:30-5:30 pm daily. A minimum of 6 kids is required each week.
The fee is $125/week.
To sign up, please check the ‘Aftercare Options’ box on your camp registration form. You will be invoiced separately for the aftercare fee. Payment for aftercare is due by July 1.
Camp Shemesh offers five one-week programs. Each program provides in-depth opportunities for campers to imagine, explore, and create through hands-on projects, field trips, special guests, peer based unit activities and chuggim (electives). All programs include daily swimming, outdoor games, crafts, and sports. Camp Shemesh no longer has themed weeks–campers will enjoy awesome art, science, cooking, outdoors and more included every week!
