Camp Shemesh

Camp Shemesh COVID update:
We do not yet know what the summer 2021 camp season will look like. There are too many unknowns about what the COVID situation will be this summer. We hope to have a clearer picture by the end of March. Please check back here for updates.

Over thirty years of Jewish fun in the sun!

For over 30 years, Camp Shemesh has offered a unique summer day camp experience for children in the Pioneer Valley. Through a framework of Jewish themes and values, we provide space for youth to explore their authentic selves while learning to be empathic and environmentally sensitive people and leaders.

Camp engages music, creative arts, gardening, sports, swimming, field trips, team challenges, Kabbalat Shabbat celebrations and more to nurture exploration of self-expression, earth stewardship, community, and identity.

We value diversity and pride ourselves on our welcoming, joyful, and inclusive atmosphere for both Jewish and non-Jewish families. We serve entering 1st through 6th graders and offer leadership development programs and employment opportunities for teens.

Teens entering 10th Grade are invited to apply to be a CIT. What if I’m in 7th-9th Grade?

Major funding provided by the Harold Grinspoon Foundation.
